More about Beecholme

Beecholme is also the first postwar "mixed development" housing scheme in Hackney, with a mixture of houses and flats with the taller block having five storeys and containing one-bedroom and bedsit accommodation. It is featured in Volume 15 of Hackney History and was the site of Beecholme House, the family home of Maj. John André (d. 1780), who was executed as a British spy in the American War of Independence.

The future of Clapton is in your hands

...but only if we know what you want!

We need to make a start now...

The council is listening - but we need to give them something to listen to!
The Clapton Arts Trust has done just that with a presentation and questionnaire - as a first step towards a possible Neighbourhood Plan and to see what people want and throw some ideas out there.

The presentation covers more ground and gives context to the survey, so it's worth viewing it first.

You can see the accompanying "Vision for Clapton" presentation here or scroll down and you'll find it three posts below, right here on the Beecholme blog.

Either way, please do complete the simple tick box "pop" survey below - there is room for you to comment and add other issues as well.

NOTE: Business, housing and conservation are covered in the presentation.
Much of the pond area falls within a Conservation Area, so the survey reflects that fact.
