More about Beecholme

Beecholme is also the first postwar "mixed development" housing scheme in Hackney, with a mixture of houses and flats with the taller block having five storeys and containing one-bedroom and bedsit accommodation. It is featured in Volume 15 of Hackney History and was the site of Beecholme House, the family home of Maj. John André (d. 1780), who was executed as a British spy in the American War of Independence.

Important new Clapton Pond website

The Clapton Pond
Neighbourhood Action Group Website
with its own dedicated
Clapton Conference page
has gone live!

 •

Regular updates will be posted to the website and there is facility to respond.

Those people who would like to receive regular updates by email can subscribe to do so under the heading on the website 'ABOUT' where there are full instructions.

If there are more than one posting in a day, these will be combined into one update e-mail, so you will never receive more than one e-mail in a day. In reality, it will probably be considerably fewer than that.
